Shelburne Vineyard

Freshly stocked: Iapetus wines from Shelburne Vineyard in Shelburne, Vermont. Not only is this the most idyllic place to have an afternoon wine and cheese picnic, but the rustic New England vibes are strong with this one.
Get the blueberry/ cranberry/whatever-berry New England wines out of your head... because this isn't that. This is serious, cool climate wine, focused on showcasing the landscape - all wild, fermented and unfiltered.
These wines are part of their experimental 'Iapetus' project and are some of the most exciting wines coming out of the east coast at the moment. Subduction is a raw red wine made from Marquette- bursting with dark wild berry fruit and baking spices. Antecedent is an orange wine from Riesling - lights up the palate with pink grapefruit and rhubarb fizz… and Alluvium is a deep colored juicy rose from St. Croix, Petite Pearl, Marquette and a dash of Piquette.
