Welcome Back to the Nansletter

Happy Tuesday, everyone! To address the elephant in the room...yes, we have not stopped listening to Red (Taylor's Version) on repeat since it was released last Friday. Oh wait, was that not what you were thinking? I guess we'll also acknowledge that Thanksgiving prep is in high gear and we cannot wait to serve you all next week. This week's roundup is a quick little shoutout of some new favorite products that might be good to have in stock before prepping large meals (or just in general), and a menu item you should totally try if you haven't already. Also an update on Nan's current events and a brand new section in our Wine/Beer side of the barn.

We're not particularly big on "food fads" here at Nan's, but this one we think is here to stay. Black garlic is fermented garlic cloves that have naturally turned (you guessed it) black and have a slightly sweet yet deep savory flavor that separates it from regular garlic. It's perfect in pasta dishes, mixed into a butter and baked on bread, and incorporated into your everyday cooking. This could also be DELICIOUS in some Thanksgiving side dishes!

To us, sauce and condiments are one of the best parts of any meal. We just got in this delectable sriracha from Hardwood Gold (a Michigan maple syrup company) that will go perfectly with any of your Nan's favorites. This North American take on an Asian favorite is made with five different peppers and sweetened with authentic Michigan maple syrup. We recommend squirting it on a scrambled-eggs breakfast bowl, dousing your garden bowl with it, or even adding it to a fried chicken sammie (but who wants to mess with perfection?).

A la Taylor Swift, we'll be reaching for our winter scarves and hot lattes this week. To truly soak up the last few moments of fall and to get in the Red (Taylor's Version) spirit, try our Farmhouse Latte sweetened with housemade maple cinnamon syrup. We work very hard to craft the perfect latte here in the barn, with painstakingly selected espresso beans and shots pulled to perfection. We'll take your choice of milk and froth it until it's rich and creamy with cloudlike foam. And our syrups are the best part- they transform the latte into a flavorful experience. Maple Cinnamon deserves more hype- go try it!
