Welcome to the Nansletter, let’s dive in!

Happy Tuesday, y'all! The holiday season is in full swing. With that comes dinner parties and gatherings with loved ones- finally! We've got all the host/hostess gifts you'll need to be a stellar guest. We'll also be talking about our holiday menu and the new renditions of our overnight oats and chia pudding. Aaaand some of our favorite new champagnes, perfect for your holiday table!

Gifts for the Host Extraordinaire

Terracotta Breadwarmers

This unique gift will be a hit with any home entertainer. What is it? A beautifully carved terracotta stone you can put in the oven. After warming it in the oven, you place it on top of a towel in the accompanying wicker basket. Then you can put your rolls, sliced bread, focaccia or (our favorite) biscuits on top of the stone. They'll stay warm for at least 40 minutes! We're pretty sure this will be the first bread warmer they'll receive. They won't be able to live without it!

Rustic Wooden Cheeseboards

Another amazing gift for the holiday party host is a handcrafted cheese board. They're beautiful and can be used for décor, but also have a practical application. You'll find our cheese boards in the Kind Goods section of the shop. No board is exactly the same, so you can really match the gift to the person! Hot tip: Get your loved one an assortment of cheeses and accoutrements to accompany the board. You'll have given a beautiful gift and also contributed a snack to the event!

Nan's Gift Card

Shameless plug alert! Running late to a gift exchange? Need something unique that no one will turn down? Pick up a Nan's gift card! It's able to be spent on anything...wine, books, sammies- you name it! They're also pretty cute, if we do say so ourselves. We guarantee that this will be the most fought over gift at this year's Yankee Swap.

Nan’s Holiday Menu

If you were here for Thanksgiving, you know the drill. We prep the food, you pop it in the oven. For the holidays we've got prime rib roast with chestnut pan gravy, seasoned rack of lamb with huckleberry sauce... and more! (P.S. The prime rib and lamb are selling fast, so make sure to order soon if you want one!) If you want to take the stress out of hosting loved ones for holiday dinner, we are here for you. Make sure you give us at least a 72 hour notice- pick up is on 12/24!

New Menu Items!

Cinnamon Apple Chia Pudding

We like to switch up our menu seasonally! It was time to make some adjustments to our classic chia pudding and overnight oats recipes. The chia pudding is fully New England-ified, topped with stewed cinnamon apples that infuse the rest of the pudding with warm, sweet goodness. It's also topped with housemade granola and toasted coconut shreds to add crunch and texture to your bite. This easy, on-the-go breakfast will be just the thing for your winter mornings.

Chunky Monkey Overnight Oats

This new variation of our overnight oats is your newest obsession. Our classic coconut milk and agave steeped oats now has chunks of banana mixed in! It's topped with coconut and banana chips for crunch and tropical flavor. And the best part? Candied, toasted pecans. It all comes together for one perfect bite- you won't be able to get enough. We aren't!

Champagne Toasts!

Champagne is finally off the container ships, fashionably late, but here just in time for the holidays. We have two from Bernard Dumont - a 100% Biodynamic (and currently awaiting Organic certification) winemaker. They are located in the southern Aube region of Champagne known for its exceptional Pinot Noir. This is due to Champagne's slightly warmer, more sheltered climate. The 'Brut Tradition' is $38, a steal for organic grower champagne. It is made up of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay - the exact makeup of his vineyards. This is a soft and sumptuous style of Champagne, without hard edges and more pillowy bubbles to sink into.

For something a little different we have his "Solera Reserva," for $50. It is a blend of 20 vintages aged in the Solera method dating all the way back to 1991. Expect richer texture, a broader palate, longer finish and flavors of dried stone fruit and nuts.

Also in this lineup is Jose Michel et Fils 100% Pinot Meunier Champagne. Pinot Meunier is the third wheel of the Champagne trio, overshadowed by older siblings Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. What Pinot Meunier adds is a jubilant fruitiness, akin to mixed berries. It fills out the structure that Noir provides and Chardonnay's sharp, high tones. This is an exceptionally playful, fun, fruit-forward Champagne. But it tastes just as serious and stately as any other. For a new experience, try it out!

"The two great exceptions that prove the rule about the maturing potential of Pinot Meunier are Krug and José Michel.”
- Richard Juhlin, 2000 Champagnes
