Nansletter #4

We are a month into providing these newsletters for y'all, and we just want to say thank you for all the support we've received. This week we're diving into some new menu items, partnerships, and giving an update on our next steps. Let's dive in!

Joy Farms Bouquets

Joy Farm Bouquets

Here at Nan's, we love celebrating all types of local businesses: from food to flowers. When we came across Kathy Romeo's work at Joy Farm, we knew we had to bring it to our guests. Kathy's flowers are chosen and grown with love in her backyard. Flowers are her passion, and she searches far and wide for the most unique and beautiful varieties of flowers to include in her bouquets. Joy Farm was a pandemic project, but we have confidence it will continue for many years. Kathy will be brightening the barn with her bouquets at least once every week this summer, and we have some fun events in the works. Make sure to follow us on social media so you can get your bouquets each week before they sell out!

Valicenti Pasta Farm

Valicenti Pasta Farm Items

We've featured Valicenti Pasta on our social medias before, but wanted to tell y'all even more about them this week. Valicenti Pasta Farm is located in Hollis, New Hampshire and was started in 2008 by David Valicenti. Valicenti prides themselves on their fresh pasta, unique ravioli varieties, and small batch sauces. They grow all the produce used in their pasta on their 10-acre organic farm. Our two favorite varieties are the gluten-free, dairy-free caramelized butternut squash ravioli (roasted butternut squash, extra virgin olive oil, rosemary, sage, and gluten-free spinach pasta dough) and the truffled wild mushroom (wild New Hampshire mushrooms, Umbrian black truffle shavings, marsala wine, cream, ricotta, shallot, garlic, thyme, and porcini pasta dough). We love pairing Valicenti pasta with their Red Gravy, a small-batch tomato basil sauce.

That New New

That's right, y'all. At long last, we have some new menu items for you! You have got to try all three of our brand new sandwiches: we promise you'll like them.

Grilled Cheese

Grilled Cheese

Yup, you heard that right. Nan's has grilled cheese now, and we're doing it our way (aka the best way.) Our grilled cheese is suuuuuper crunchy and buttery on the outside with just the right amount of ooey gooey cheese inside. We use a mixture of classic cheddar and nutty gruyere to create the perfect flavor palate for such a classic dish. This is next level grilled cheese.

Picnic Melt

Picnic Melt

The perfect summer panini. We're channeling picnicking-by-the-Eiffel-Tower-vibes with this bad boy. With a baguette as our base, we build the perfect bite with melted gruyere cheese, prosciutto cotto (not to be confused with prosciutto one would use on a cheese board- this is thinner cut, less chewy prosciutto that's better for sandwich building), spicy arugula for crunch and a blend of french mustards for tang. This is something you need to taste to believe.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This is NOT your average grilled chicken sandwich, trust us. Crusty ciabatta bread, slices of grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, bacon, cheddar, arugula pesto, and dijon mayo. A classic combo of bacon, cheddar, and bread but with the volume turned way up. This sandwich is perfect for a quick lunch on the go or when you need to get warm from the inside out.
