We’re so excited that our neighbors at Honey Pot Hill Farm have been chosen as one of the best apple orchards in both the United States and Massachusetts! Wow! We love visiting Honey Pot during peach and apple season! They have the cutest farm store with freshly pressed cider, an array of treats from baked goods to local jam and honey. It is a really nice day trip whether you are in the North Shore, Cambridge or Boston area.

Our market is located in the same town as Honey Pot, we are neighbors! You can always stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner to fuel your time out in the field! Nan’s Market is located right off route 117 in Stow Ma and is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 7am to 8pm. We have locally roasted coffee and espresso, breakfast sandwiches, hearty grain bowls and our famous fried chicken sandwiches and farmhouse dinners. We have gardens for you to enjoy whether it is before or after your apple picking adventures! New England truly is special and fall is a magical time for us! We are looking forward to spending time with you all this fall! Oh, and bring us a cider donut, would ya?

Boston.com says: Fall in New England brings plenty of apple picking opportunities, “a quintessential autumn activity,” and Massachusetts has one of the 10 best in America, according to Country Living magazine.

The publication released a list of the 32 best apple picking farms and orchards in the U.S., and Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow ranked No. 8. Boston.com readers agree: Last year, they named it their favorite New England orchard.

Here’s what Country Living wrote about Honey Pot Hill Orchards:

“Expect some apple varieties, like the Vista Bella, to be ready for the taking as early as July, whereas fall fruit pickers can stock up on the Cortland, Honeycrisp, and Royal Gala apples from mid-September to November or December. Once you’ve taken a bite of your finds, you might also be tempted to send friends (or yourself) one of Honey Pot Hill Orchards’ Apple Gift Packs.”

Two other Massachusetts farms and orchards made the list: Bear Swamp Orchard and Cidery in Ashfield and Red Apple Farm in Phillipston. Here’s a complete list of the magazine’s New England picks so you can start plotting your fall apple picking excursions:
