Welcome Back to the Nansletter

Hello, all! Football season is upon us and Nan's has got y'all covered with gameday snacks, meals, and drinks perfect for cheering on the Pats (or whoever your favorite team is). Football season holds a special place in our hearts: evoking memories of crisp Friday night lights, getting cozy on the couch on Sunday night and watching the game, and of course the food. Wings, dips, snacks, and all of the above...some of our favorite foods are associated with a gameday. We wouldn't be a classic New England market if we didn't offer provisions for this sacred time of year: so let's dive in!

Featured Products

Wholly Veggie Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

One food trend we can really get behind is cauliflower wings. When made correctly, they're crunchy outside and tender inside with a delicious sauce that makes you forget you're eating a nutritious vegetable. These are a great gameday sub if you're trying to get veggies in but still want to partake in all the buffalo wing festivities. Wholly Veggie Buffalo Cauliflower bites (we recommend making in the air fryer) have that perfect juxtaposition of crunchy and tender and a buffalo sauce with BITE. Pair with some ranch (we suggest Primal Kitchen- find it near the olive oil and salad dressings) or blue cheese and celery and you will have one happy football fan crowd.

Popzup Popcorn

Maple Cinnamon Toast Popzup Popcorn

Here at Nan's we're all about supporting local businesses. One of our favorites for game day? Popzup! These HUGE bags of popcorn (seriously, they are packed to the brim) are locally made with flavors that reflect classic New England. If you're looking for something to munch on while watching the game, we recommend the Maple Cinnamon Toast flavor. It's made with New England maple syrup, cinnamon and sea salt. Just a few ingredients to evoke such a poppin' flavor! There's also regular buttered popcorn and a white cheddar flavor if you're looking for something more savory!

BBQ Rub

(using Burlap & Barrel spices)

Dry Rub

There's nothing like a tender piece of barbequed meat being served up on a chilly fall day. We highly recommend using a spice rub to really infuse whatever you're grilling, roasting, or smoking with delicious and robust flavor. Here's a simple recipe you can create with spices you have at home or, if you want to step it up a notch, we have some incredible Burlap and Barrel spices on sale here at the shop. This rub is perfect for a brisket, ribs, chicken or even on leftover Nan's breakfast potatoes if you want to use it for other things! It has bright and delicious flavors that are sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Recipe:
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
-2 tbsp of smoked paprika (we recommend Burlap & Barrel Smoked Pimenton Paprika)
-1 tbsp cumin (we recommend Burlap & Barrel Wild Mountain Cumin)
-1 tsp chili powder (we recommend Burlap & Barrel Silk Chili)
-1 tbsp garlic powder (we recommend Burlap & Barrel Purple Stripe Garlic)
-1 tbsp onion powder
-salt and pepper if you're so inclined

Peach Shrub

Peach Shrub Drink

So...peach season is *almost* over. But if you're one of those people who likes to hold on to the last remnants of summer, we've got something for you. Enter our Peach Shrub drink. A shrub is a classic "drinking vinegar." We know that vinegar sounds...strong. But trust us, when it's prepared this way it's DELICIOUS! We use fresh Ferjulian's peaches to make our housemade, sweetened shrub syrup and add it to sparkling water. It's super refreshing and a great pick-me-up for one of these last few hot afternoons.

Sunshine Meal

Sunshine Meal

At long last, Nan's has nuggets. And trust us, these are the most iconic nuggets around. We use our classic frying technique and spices for our regular fried chicken, just bite sized! A Sunshine Meal is ~technically~ for kids, but open to all ages. You get chicken nuggets with spicy mayo or golden barbeque dipping sauce, a farmhouse vegetable (this would be amazing with the kale salad) and one of our famous Liquid Sunshine lemonades! How cute is this?
